What RIM is in need of right now is an original design to pull them from the deep troubles they’re facing. Sadly, all we have are a bunch of concepts that look hot, like the BlackBerry Blade one, running BlackBerry 10 OS. This model was created by Toronto design firm Pixelcarve and it’s one of the bestBlackBerry concepts I’ve seen.
BlackBerry Blade Runs BlackBerry 10 OS, Its a Mere Render for Now...
It’s a slider device with a design that reminds of the Dell Venue Pro a bit, however with a more curved case. It’s also extremely thin for a slider, I’ll give you that much. There’s a trackpad here, keeping some of the BlackBerry tradition, plus those menu and back keys that make me feel that this is in fact a BlackBerry 7 or 8 OS handset, not one based on a version of QNX OS. The specs are also top notch: 4.5 inch AMOLED display, quad core 1.5 GHz processor, Gorilla Glass protection and 12 megapixel camera.
Aluminum and acrylic are the materials that make up the phone and we’ve got a 720p display here, plus a 5 megapixel front camera and support for 1080p 60 fps capture through the back camera. MicroHDMI, mini VGA, microSD and microUSB are also included among the specs, plus LTE, WiFi hotspot features and a dynamic color outer LED strip, probably for notifications.
