Beauty, Thy Name is Nokia; Here’s the Lumia XXX Phone Concept!
Nokia Lumia has supposedly moved into the thousands already, with the rumored Lumia 1020 model, but we go back to 3 figures for the beauty pictured below. Created by Deviantart member fefe9901, this device is an edge to edge smartphone with an interesting design.
Nokia Lumia XXX has an edge to edge display, a bunch of sensors on the upper side and what seems to be a very discrete camera at the back. This is a Windows Phone 9 model, if you allow me to dream and it comes with 4G connectivity and possibly an octa core processor. All of these are my own speculations, since the designer didn’t mention any specs.
There will be a day when Nokia moves to such specs, if they will keep making Lumias. We may see such a device at the end of 2014, with a kickass back camera, but also a smaller camera module to deliver the Pureview performance. The Lumia XXX is a superb design that deserves a lot of credit.

Micromax Canvas Crystal Sounds Like a Potential Canvas 5
The Micromax Canvas 4 started being offered on preorder today and now we’re thinking about the Canvas 5 already. Well, designer Suman Chatterjee has something in mind and that something is called the Micromax Canvas Crystal concept.
We’re dealing with a 5.2 inch Full HD smartphone, so we’re more in phablet turf than handset. This phone packs a 1.7 GHz octa core processor and the PowerVR Series 5XT graphics. There’s also 2 GB of RAM on board, 16/32 GB of storage and a microSD card slot. Micromax Canvas Crystal features dual SIM slots, 3G connectivity, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and USB 2.0.
At its back we find a 13 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and upfront we’ve got a 3.2 megapixel shooter. Other specs include a 3000 mAh battery and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean is the OS. The camera comes with autofocus, face and smile detection and image stabilization. The interesting bit about this supposed Canvas 5 is that instead of using metal it relies on “super strong crystal linings”, that measure 3 mm and protect it from rough contacts. The screen is also protected by crystal and the body of the phone is dust proof and water proof.
This design feels like an evolved Lumia of sorts and it’s well done.

Nokia Lumia 1080 is the Phone on Your Wrist, runs Windows Phone Blue
It appears that bracelet phones are popular lately, for some reason… One of them is the new Nokia Lumia 1080, pictured below and made by 91 Mobiles. We’re dealing with a watch-like device that features a 5 inch plastic OLED display.
Nokia Lumia 1080 supports a Full HD resolution and relies on a quad core processor with a clock speed of 1.8 GHz. There’s also 2 GB of RAM, a 13 megapixel Pureview camera with OIS and Xenon flash and a 3.2 megapixel front camera. Inside there’s a 2500 mAh battery and the OS here is Windows Phone 8.1 Blue.
The device is reasonably thick and seems to be based on metal and glass, judging by these renders. I’m not sure if this Nokia concept can bend or not, but it’s very likely. The lower part reminds me of the older Nokia models and I can see that the display extends over the curvature of the phone, which is interesting.
