Tung Nguyen sent me an email showing a very interesting phone concept
called Ilumis35X. It’s basically a combo between the top notch
smartphones of the year, ranging from the iPhone 5 to the Nokia Lumia
920, HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S3. The curved glass of the Lumia 920
and its OS, Windows Phone 8 were used, as well as the trademark color.
The buttons, the SIM Tray and connector, plus the audio jack position are all iPhone 5. The size, rounded corners and back cover are taken from the Samsung Galaxy S3, while the camera and Beats Audio technology are borrowed from the HTC One X. The handset comes with a Snapdragon 4 1.4 GHz processor quad core chipset, Adreno 225 GPU, a 4.5 inch IPS LCD display and 1 GB of RAM. The device measures 9.5 mm in thickness and at the back there’s an 8 megapixel camera, while upfront we find a 1.9 megapixel shooter.
It’s interesting to notice that instead of microUSB we get a Lightning connector. I have to say that we could add one more smartphone into the mix, maybe the Galaxy Nexus or LG Nexus 4, since this concept reminds me of them a bit… Maybe the software platforms can also be combined into a single OS, so for example we can run iOS and Windows Phone through separate apps in Android maybe? Anyway, this phone is certainly a hot looking one and I find it truly appealing.
