It’s that time of the year again, when a new Nexus Phone is due and we’re happy with concepts for now, like the Google Nexus 5, created by Deviantart user r4yNTv. We’re dealing with a handset that features a 5 inch HD Super AMOLED display and an Exynos processor, as well as Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.

The screen on the Nexus 5 has a real RGB Matrix and anti glare Gorilla Glass 2 technology. Inside we’ve got an Exynos 5 processor, a dual core Cortex A15 1.7GHz unit with Mali T604 GPU, accompanied by 2 GB of LPDDR3 RAM. Other features include a 2800 mAh Li-Ion battery and for some reason a 5 megapixel camera with F/1.8, better lens and sensor, 1080p capture at 60 fps and 720p capture at 120 FPS. There’s also a 2.1 megapixel front camera for videocalls.
Inside we’ve got either 16, 32 or 64 GB of storage and up to 2 TB of external storage via microSDXC card slot. HSPA+ with 42 Mbps connectivity is available, as well as LTE with 100 Mbps. There’s a touch sensitive area below and above the display and you can touch and swipe onto the screen to show the onscreen buttons. The powerful 28 nm chipset inside offers 1080p video playback at 60 FPS without lag and with up to 40 Mbit/s. Finally we’ve got high definition stereo speakers on board so you can watch Bane fight Batman as if you were at the movies.
Quite a monster of a smartphone right? And I guess that Samsung’s behind it, considering the CPU… The design has a hint of Samsung Galaxy S III in it, if you ask me. What do you think?
