Samsung Galaxy S V Rendered by Greco Medrano, Inspired by Our Critique of S VI
Greco Medrano created the Samsung Galaxy S6 concept we’ve shown you on this site and inspired by the critique brought to that render he went ahead and designed a fresh Galaxy S V concept this time. The result is shown below:
First of all, I’d like to say that the background of the concept would be totally loved by Jony Ive, since it reminds me of iOS 7 and its crazy color choices. Then, I like the dotted pattern at the back, since it looks like something Samsung would evolve into. However, I’m not so sure about the rounded corners, especially since the Galaxy Note 3 launched yesterday went back to straight angles and to the Galaxy S II era.
I think we should look at LG and its G2 model for hints on how the next Galaxy S will look like. LG and Samsung have always one upped each other and with industrial espionage big in that region, I supposed they know a thing or two about each other’s future products. So, I expect the Samsung Galaxy S V to sport a 5.2 inch edge to edge display and possibly a fingerprint scanner.

Google Nexus 5 Gets Rendered by Yugatech, Inspired by Leak
Hours ago we wrote about the leak of a Nexus 5 handset in an Android 4.4 KitKat video from Google and now there’s already a concept phone based on that. The device was created by Yugatech and can be seen below.
In case you’ve been sleeping for the past 20 hours or so, Google confirmed that the next Android release will be version 4.4, codenamed KitKat. They also leaked a video of a prototype phone that seems like a gigantic and slim device, with squared edges. Some eagle eyed journalists have apparently spotted an LG logo at the back, in the leak, although frankly speaking, I haven’t.
Interestingly the Nexus logo is horizontal, like on the Nexus 7 and the Nexus 10 and the camera looks huge. It could be the same sensor used on the LG G2, a 13 MP shooter. Rumors say the Nexus 5 will have a 5.2 inch edge to edge Full HD display, a Snapdragon 800 CPU and Android 4.4 as the OS, plus 2 or 3 GB of RAM.

Nexus 5 Prototype Leaked in Android 4.4 KitKat Video
We’re big fans of concepts, but also big fans of prototype leaks, which seems to be the case here. As you know, if you checked out our Facebook page and the Internet over the past day, Google decided to name its future Android release KitKat. This will be version 4.4 of the OS and there’s already a Nexus leak to go with that…
Google posted a video online showing the moment when the Android KitKat statue was rised on the Google Campus. One of the folks immortalizing the moment had an interesting device in his hand, clearly labelled Nexus. It’s a big handset with straight edges and a huge camera lens. It’s clearly the next Nexus, probably the Nexus 5 and it seems like Motorola material or maybe Sony, if you ask me.
It’s clearly larger than 5 inches, maybe 5.2 inches as we’ve heard before. I could also see Chinese companies like Oppo, Xiaomi or Meizu making such a device, but for some reason not LG or Samsung… What do you think? Frankly speaking, I’m not a big fan of the KitKat name…

The New iPhone 5S Gets Rendered in Detailed Video, Based on Leaks (Video)
The following iPhone 5S concept is inspired by rumors and leaks and it was created by iTeck-Concept and ConceptsiPhone. It’s a 4.7 inch smartphone with a true Retina Display and all the technological goodies one can imagine… or need.
This iPhone features a 4.7 inch 2048 x 1440 pixel display, with a 544 ppi density, a 13 megapixel rear camera and a front 5 megapixel FaceTime shooter. There’s a dual LED flash at the back, Bluetooth 4.0 among the specs, too, a 2500 mAh battery and an Apple A7 64 bit quad core 1.6 GHz CPU. We’ve got iOS 7.0 running on the device, that is available in black, gold, grey and white.
A fingerprint sensor is also included and the screen here is actually called the Retina 2. From what I know the human eye can only see 530 ppi or so, so the screen is right on the money with that, or maybe a bit too much. The home button has a biometric sensor and a layer of crystal sapphire, so that takes care of fingerprint scanning. By the way the storage here is up to 128 GB, just like the rumors say.

Beauty, Thy Name is Nokia; Here’s the Lumia XXX Phone Concept!
Nokia Lumia has supposedly moved into the thousands already, with the rumored Lumia 1020 model, but we go back to 3 figures for the beauty pictured below. Created by Deviantart member fefe9901, this device is an edge to edge smartphone with an interesting design.
Nokia Lumia XXX has an edge to edge display, a bunch of sensors on the upper side and what seems to be a very discrete camera at the back. This is a Windows Phone 9 model, if you allow me to dream and it comes with 4G connectivity and possibly an octa core processor. All of these are my own speculations, since the designer didn’t mention any specs.
There will be a day when Nokia moves to such specs, if they will keep making Lumias. We may see such a device at the end of 2014, with a kickass back camera, but also a smaller camera module to deliver the Pureview performance. The Lumia XXX is a superb design that deserves a lot of credit.
