Created by Keanu Reeves (Mooz Deviant), the Nokia Lumia 999 concept phone is a design based on the Lumia 920 and 928. However, this mockup is original and involves minor look changes, that are shown in the pictures below. We’re dealing with a totally rectangular handset, that doesn’t feel as rounded as the Lumia 920 for example. The Nokia Lumia 999 features a 5 inch Full HD display, a 13 megapixel Pureview camera at the back and 32 or 64 GB of storage. The color versions of the smartphone are very vivid and they include lime, indigo and cherry as color choices.
At the back of this Nokia Lumia concept we seem to get a Xenon flash, while the screen upfront has a pixel density of 441 ppi, the same as the Xperia Z and Samsung Galaxy S4. I like the lime version a lot. What’s your favourite color version here? Also, I’m betting that there’s a quad core Snapdragon CPU inside, running Windows Phone 8.1 Blue. What do you think?

The Internet was filled with rumors today regarding a Samsung cameraphone with a 16 megapixel sensor. It’s supposed to be called Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom and it was already rendered by the fine guys of mobileaks.nl. Let’s check out the device: They also specced the unit, that’s rumored to include the same 16 megapixel camera of the Galaxy Camera device from last year. Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom packs a protruding lens with optical zoom, a 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED display and 8 GB of storage. There’s also a microSD card slot, Android 4.2 as the OS, TouchWiz UI and a dual or quad core CPU.
The RAM is still unknown and you have to know that the specs above are not speculations, but rather leaks. The handset looks very thin and the camera is all the more impressive, at such a waistline. Can it be done?

Designer Suman Chatterjee imagined a Samsung phone with Ubuntu OS on board and allowed us to pick a name for it. I thought that the name Samsung U1000 is good enough and all the other Ubuntu Samsung models would be part of the U Series. The smartphone has an interesting UI and in case you’re wondering, the U1000 comes with pretty much the same specs as the Galaxy S4. The design is also not that different, although this model seems even straighter than the S4 compared to the S3. The Samsung Ubuntu phone has a very elegant metal stripe camera area and totally looks like an iPhone from the side.
I see that it ditches any type of front physical button, probably relying on gestures. Ubuntu Touch for mobile is already an appreciated platform, that has generated lots of enthusiasts, tweaking their Nexus devices. With the Samsung Ativ S being almost a Galaxy S III with Windows Phone, why not release a Galaxy S4 with Ubuntu or something similar?

Sony Xperia Tab L Impresses in White

Suman Chatterjee imagined the Sony Xperia Tab L, a brand new tablet concept shown in white. As far as I can see, the device has a metallic Power button like the Xperia Z. And now allow me to speculate on this product… The Xperia Tab L is a rectangular slab of plastic, metal and glass, overall with a very nice look. I seem to have spotted a lighted glass area around the slate, maybe like the Xperia S, but this one lights up in colors. Specs here may include a powerful Snapdragon 800 processor, a 13 megapixel camera, 2 GB of RAM or maybe even 3 GB of RAM.
There’s also 32/64 GB of storage, 4G LTE connectivity, NFC (front and back) and gesture support thanks to the front camera. Since this is a powerful tablet, Sony Xperia Tab L is good enough to run Android 4.3 and even Key Lime Pie. What do you think of this Xperia tablet concept?

Mohamed Magdy sent us his latest work, the Pure Mobile, a handset that looks a bit like a combo between a HTC One X and a Nokia Lumia. The device has true blacks displayed on the screen and also you can’t distinguish between the screen borders and the upper glass layer. This probably means we’re dealing with ClearBlack technology here. The same screen offers accurate colors and from what I can see at the back, we’ve got a camera with Carl Zeiss optics integrated here. The handset adopts a rectangular shape, but its corners are slightly rounded and also the profile seems a bit curved. There are no Back, Home or even volume or camera buttons here, so you probably have to rely on gestures and touch input.
The most interesting and original part about the Pure Mobile concept phone is that small chin at the front, with the Pure logo on. It’s an interesting touch, that while taking a part off the screen estate, it differentiates from typical all glass handset facades.
