iPhone Fingerprint Scanner Concept is All Curves (Video)
Federico Ciccarese puts out iPhone
concepts rarely, but they’re usually very good and
original. This time he imagined an iPhone with a fingerprint scanner,
exactly what the recent rumors said we will get this year.
The device has a curved screen and curved case and the fingerprint sensor replaces the Home button. The handset uses a special iPhone fingerprint Scanner and has a big chamfer on the front side. This iPhone concept seems a bit bulky, if you ask me and also a bit too wide for my taste. The curved glass may feel a bit too curved and exposed to cracking.
Its metallic ring around the facade and the very rounded look remind me of an iPhone 3GS that has been beefed up seriously. This iPhone rendering uses the color combos black and slate or white and silver. Would an Apple handset with fingerprint scanner make the device more appealing? Would we actually use that security feature?

Nokia Lumia 945 Handset Features a 4.7 Inch Display, 41 MP Camera
Everyone is impatiently waiting for the Nokia Lumia EOS
model with 41 megapixel camera to arrive, but hints have been very few
so far. Well, today we’re having a look at a very nice concept, one that
proposes a fresh design for the upcoming smartphone.
This is the Nokia Lumia 945, created by Edgar Mkrtchyan, who kept the design of the Lumia 920 and threw in a bit of the Lumia 925. This means we get a frame made of anodized aluminum and a customizable back shell, made of polycarbonate. The speakers have been placed upfront, just like on the HTC One. The camera format, size and design is greatly similar to the one of the Nokia 808 Pureview, which is excellent news, since that was an almost perfect camera.
The Nokia Lumia 945 concept runs Windows Phone 8+, probably WP8 Blue and comes with a quad core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2 GB of RAM and a 4.7 inch Full HD display with PureMotion and ClearBlack technologies. There’s also Gorilla Glass 3 and other specs include the 41 megapixel Pureview cam with Xenon flash, 1080p recording, a 3 megapixel front camera and a 3500 mAh battery. It’s impressive that the bulk of the phone is only kept at 10 mm in this situation…

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Gets Oversized in Fresh Deepak Ahuja Render
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to arrive in about 2-3 months,
probably at IFA 2013 in Berlin. Till then one can speculate a lot about
the phablet and we did get to see some nifty Note 3 concepts so far. The
list gets even longer today with the addition of the concept below.
Created by Deepak Ahuja, this concept phablet runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and relies on a 6.33 inch Super AMOLED Plus display, in spite of all rumors pointing towards a 5.9 inch screen. The screen supports a Full HD resolution and inside the Galaxy Note 3 we can find a 2 GHz octa core processor, while at the back there’s a 13 megapixel camera with LED flash.
The 8 core CPU involves a 1.7 GHz ARM Cortex A15 and a 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex A7 setup. At the front of the phablet we can find a 2 megapixel camera with BSI and CMOS, while the list ends with 16/32/64 GB of storage and 3 GB of RAM. There’s a 3550 mAh battery on board and the whole thing weighs 143 grams. The design is everything you’d expect, including some very tiny bezels.

Micromax Canvas X Flagship Phone has Phablet Specs
Suman Chatterjee imagined a brand new Micromax Canvas phone, actually a
phablet called the Micromax Canvas X. This is a flagship smartphone that
even gets a launch time frame: the second half of the year.
This Micromax concept phone uses a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED Plus Full HD screen and it has a 13 megapixel camera at the back, with LED flash and a front 2 megapixel shooter. Inside the Micromax Canvas X we’ve got a quad core Qualcomm processor, probably a Snapdragon 600 at 1.7 GHz, accompanied by 2 GB of RAM and 16/32 GB of storage.
The handset runs Android 4.2.2, it incorporates a 3300 mAh battery and it’s both water and dust resistant. As you can see, the screen seems to be an edge to edge one and the whole design kind of reminds me of a Nokia Lumia with a hint of iPod. Also, the custom weather widget on the screen looks hot.

Samsung Premiere June 20th Event Teaser Turned into Renders: New ATIV, Galaxy S4 Zoom, Active?
Samsung recently teased (second image below) their June 20th event in
London, that’s meant to debut a few new devices. We have no idea what
those devices will be, but the folks of mobileaks.nl dissected the teaser and came up with some answers and concepts.
One of the devices that will be showcased there will be the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, that was just announced today. Another model will be the Galaxy S4 Zoom 16 megapixel cameraphone and another the Galaxy S4 Active rugged phone. I guess that the phone with the big lens area is the Galaxy S4 Zoom and on the side we can notice is interesting weaving-style texture.
We could also see an ATIV version of the phone, a Windows Phone Samsung flagship, something that’s been lacking from their portofolio for a while now. There’s also the possibility of seeing the Galaxy Tab 3 slates there, plus an ATIV tablet or two. If you ask me, the teaser shown below seems to unveil a tablet with sliding keyboard much like the ASUS Eee Slider. What do you think we’ll see during the Samsung Premiere event?
