Nokia Lumia 901 Render Brings New Facade
Suman Chatterjee brings us a new Nokia concept phone,
the Lumia 901, that reminds me of the HTC 8S, especially in the lower
side. Considering the naming pattern of the device, I expect something
like a lower specced Lumia 920.
As you can see at the back we’ve got a Carl Zeiss lens camera, with
dual LED flash and possibly an 8 MP Pureview sensor. The front part is
the interesting bit, with an original upper and lower side, that may
feel a bit like the HTC 8S. The lower one is pretty basic, but the upper
one is more original and gives the Nokia Lumia 901 a more solid
feeling.
With a facade that has bigger upper and lower edges you feel that the phone is more solid and resilient, since more glass may feel like more weakness. Hope you get what I’m trying to say here, although people considering all glass facades fashionable nowadays. The phone is totally rectangular and I can’t see any rounded areas here, so it may feel sharp in the hand, like the Xperia Z. What do you make of this Nokia render?

Nintendo Smartphone Concept Looks Appealing, Better Than Wii U (Video)
Nintendo has been struggling a bit to sell the Wii U and recently there
was a rumor that they may implement Android smartphone games on this
console. Now, straight from T3 comes a brand new concept phone: the Nintendo smartphone.
The device looks a bit like a futuristic Samsung Galaxy S concept, one that’s very thin and has two interesting physical buttons at the bottom, aside from the Home one. The plus and minus button were also present on the Wiimote, which you probably know if you’ve seen it. The Nintendo phone comes as an answer to the new Xbox and the PS4.
Obviously you get a ton of Nintendo games, all of them running natively on the device. The lower area of the device totally reminds me of an iPad Mini and the specs of the Nintendo phone include a 5 inch Full HD AMOLED screen, 2 GB of RAM, Nvidia Tegra 5 graphics and a 2 GHz Snapdragon 8 core CPU. There’s also Wii U Chat on board, basically a Facetime alternative, Wii U connectivity support and a Community app with leaderboards, achievements and Cross Play is here as well.
There’s even a gamepad accessory pictured above… How cool is this gizmo?

Nokia Paragon Runs Android With Nokia UI, Offers 3 Day Battery Life
Remember the Nokia Paragon teaser?
Well, Bob Freking finished the concept and you can check it out below,
as it has some impressive goodies. Those include Android with Nokia UI
on top and a huge battery life. Also, guess what… the phone is
indestructible.
Nokia Paragon features a 4.5 inch ClearBlack AMOLED PureMotion HD+ display with Full HD resolution and a 1.8 GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor. It has the Adreno 330 GPU, 2 GB of RAM and a 21 megapixel Pureview camera with Full HD video capture. We also get excellent low light capture, image stabilization, lossless zoom and more. There’s a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera with 720p video capture and Android 4.2.1 as the OS.
This Nokia Android phone features a specific Nokia UI that somehow reminds me of that OS on Nokia Asha 501. We get Nokia Music on it, Here Maps, Cinemagraph, City Lens and all the goodies typical to a Lumia. This concept relies on a 3,500 mAh non removable battery, that should provide about 3 days of use. By the way this device does wireless charging and is virtually indestructible.
The design is very well thought and although the case is pretty wide, there’s a certain elegance to this Nokia concept.

Micromax Canvas HD+, Brand New Phone Mockup for India
Suman Chatterjee brings us a new concept, the Micromax Canvas HD+, so
soon after the last Micromax device he designed. We’re dealing here with
a bit of a flagship, considering those high end specs. These hardware
features are based on recent demands by you, our readers.
In case you think that this model is similar to the Nexus 4, well the curves here are bigger and the screen size is larger, plus we get capacitive buttons. Micromax Canvas HD+ features a 5 inch Super AMOLED Plus Full HD screen, a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 2 megapixel front cam as well.
Inside the Micromax concept phone we find a quad core 1.5 GHz processor (unknown type, maybe Qualcomm or MediaTek), 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. The device runs Android 4.3, packs a 2300 mAh battery and it’s both water and dust resistant. Would you buy this interesting Indian smartphone?

iPad Mini 2 Render and Some Specs Come From Holland
Straight from our source at Mobileaks comes a new iPad Mini 2
image, a render to be precise. Last I heard, the Retina iPad Mini was
delayed, because of some production problems of the display panels.
Anyway, the iPad Mini 2 rendered by Mobileaks features a 7.9 inch screen with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and 324 pixel density. There’s an Apple A6X processor inside, an 8 megapixel camera at the back and a 2 megapixel front shooter. We’ve got either 16, 32 or 64 GB of storage and a case that’s 7.5 mm thick.
The edge of the display is even smaller than the one on the iPad Mini, if you ask me. It appears that although the diagonal is similar, this model will actually be more compact than its predecessor. By the way, the CPU inside it should sound familiar, since it also powered the iPad 4. So, are you impressed?
