iPad Mini 2 Render and Some Specs Come From Holland

Straight from our source at Mobileaks comes a new iPad Mini 2 image, a render to be precise. Last I heard, the Retina iPad Mini was delayed, because of some production problems of the display panels.

Anyway, the iPad Mini 2 rendered by Mobileaks features a 7.9 inch screen with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and 324 pixel density. There’s an Apple A6X processor inside, an 8 megapixel camera at the back and a 2 megapixel front shooter. We’ve got either 16, 32 or 64 GB of storage and a case that’s 7.5 mm thick.
The edge of the display is even smaller than the one on the iPad Mini, if you ask me. It appears that although the diagonal is similar, this model will actually be more compact than its predecessor. By the way, the CPU inside it should sound familiar, since it also powered the iPad 4. So, are you impressed?

Nokia Lumia 1000 Runs Windows Phone 8 GDR 3, Has 4.8 1080p Screen

Nokia that Nokia unveiled two new Lumia models in one week, the Lumia 925 and the Lumia 928, it’s time to look into the future. Karl Panase imagined the brand new model Nokia Lumia 1000, pictured below and running Windows Phone 8 GDR 3.
Nokia Lumia 1000 Runs Windows Phone 8 GDR 3, Has 4.8 1080p Screen
The handset measures 8.7 mm at its thinnest and weighs 165 grams. It features a Super AMOLED 4.8 inch screen with a Full HD resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It also relies on PureMotion HD+ ClearBlack display technology and comes with 64 GB of storage, 2 GB of RAM and a microSD card slot with up to 64 GB support.
The CPU inside the Nokia Lumia 1000 is a 1.9 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, accompanied by the Adreno 330 GPU and we also get a special Nokia imaging chipset for the camera image processing. Speaking of which, at the back there’s a 41 megapixel shooter with F/1.9 aperture, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, Xenon flash, LED flash and optical image stabilization. There are a lot of other camera features included, such as ND filter, up to 8x lossless digital zoom, variable aperture control and more.
The phone even does 4k video recording and finally, the Lumia 1000 has a 2500 mAh non removable battery. What do you think of this phone?

iWatch Renderings With Curved Glass, in Martin Hajek’s Vision

Martin Hajek imagined a new type of watch, the iWatch concept with a big piece of curved glass at the front. The images were used in the MacUser magazine, the April issue. As you can see, the volume buttons on the side look the same as on the iPhone.

As you can see, the image of the watch itself and the dial is the same with the one in iOS, the one borrowed from the Swiss Railways. We also have a buckle here, maybe made from leather or some other fancy and cool material. Obviously, the body of the iWatch is made out of metal, probably anodized aluminum or some other aluminum alloy.
I’m particularly intrigued by the small holes on the side of the device, with a purpose I really can’t figure out. I’m very curious what the back of the watch feels like on the user’s hand, especially considering that the iPad and iPhone’s back feels cold most of the time. So, what do you think of this iWatch concept?

Diagonal
On board we’ve got the Windows Phone 8.8 operating system and other specs include 64 GB of storage, a microSD card slot with support for 128 GB, 2 GB of RAM and at the back there’s a 17 megapixel camera with Full HD video capture, LED flash and autofocus. Upfront we’ve got a 3 megapixel camera with a hidden lens, to keep the uniform design of the facade.
Inside the Nokia Lumia 938 concept there’s a 2.7 GHz dual core processor and a 3000 mAh battery. We’ve also got wireless charging support and as you can see, the smartphone is rather wide and brightly colored. We’ve also got a new button layout, on top of the display. Interesting, right?

Nokia Paragon New Mockup Gets Teased by Bob Freking

Bob Freking has become a household designer name here at Concept Phones and now we’ve got a fresh teaser for a piece of work that Bob has been working on. It’s called Nokia Paragon and part of it is shown below.
Nokia Paragon New Mockup Gets Teased by Bob Freking
What’s clear from the pic is that it’s not a Lumia phone or a Windows Phone or any kind. There’s a slight Nokia N9 and MeeGo vibe to it, but I also fear it’s Symbian. I certainly hope that’s not the case, so Paragon may end up being a Jolla OS Phone in the end. Also seeing how Nokia launched that cool Nokia Asha 501 recently, with all those smartphone features on a $99 price tag, well, it could be Asha OS, courtesy of the Smarterfone technology.
By the way, Bob said “concept”, not phone, so it could be a phablet, or maybe a juicy bit of unexpected novelty, something like a prototype MeeGo tablet. Really hard to tell… what do you make of this Nokia teaser?
[Thanks Bob Freking]
