LG Optimus G2 or Nexus 5? Mystery LG Smartphone Leaked!
There’s a Twitter account out there called @evleaks, that
publishes hardcore leaks of phones and tablets ahead of their launch and
now the same source has taken to Facebook and published a very
interesting picture. It depicts a mystery LG smartphone, that might as
well be the LG Optimus G2.
Some say it could be the rumored LG Nexus 5, although I kind of doubt
that. Well, this model does look quite nice and it has an usual
earpiece design, an elongated body and minimalistic bezel. It may
resemble the Nexus 4 just a little bit and people posting comments on
the Facebook page of the leakster have juggled some specs for this
model.
They say it could be a Nexus 5 handset with a 4.7 or 6 inch Full HD OLED display, maybe a flexible screen, a Snapdragon 800 processor at 2 GHz and Key Lime Pie support. We knew that the LG Optimus G2 was coming soon and we’ve heard that it may be so scary thin, that its volume buttons and on/Off buttons were placed at the back… What do you think?

Motorola Nexus Plus Handset Concept is a Google Nexus Phone for the Masses
While everyone is talking about a budget iPhone, let’s try thinking
about a budget Nexus Phone. These Google devices are usually low priced,
but how about lower? Cristophe Simeon took that idea into account, when
he created the Motorola Nexus Plus handset. This is the same designer
that brought us the stunning Samsung NxT super smartphone.
The device has capacitive pads at the bottom and top, with these areas being used for gaming and web surfing. Nexus Plus is built using magnesium, like the Surface tablet, while the back is machined carbon. The screen is protected by secured glass, in order to make it resilient to scratches and rough contacts.
This smartphone seems to be very thin and compact and also feels longer than any other handset I’ve seen lately. Nexus Plus measures 8.5 mm in thickness, it has an infrared port, a front 2 MP camera, a back 13 megapixel camera and a notifications capacitive pad. There’s also dual stereo speakers at the front, a Snapdragon 800 CPU inside and a 5 inch TFT LCD display with Full HD resolution. Is this good enough to be a Nexus 5?

Motorola XFON Mockup Includes the Leaked Specs of the Google X Phone
A recent leak of the Google X Phone points towards a
device actually called the Motorola XFON, that has been rendered by
Suman Chatterjee. The device has the same specs as the X Phone, that
include the powerful Snapdragon 800 CPU and a big battery.
The XFON/ X Phone design is pretty basic and the only thing I don’t like about it is the earpiece area at the top. The bezels are also pretty big for a modern 2013 device, but the Motorola logo is included in a pretty cool way at the bottom. Also, the weather app/widget looks nice. Motorola XFON packs a 4.8 inch display, probably with Full HD resolution and a quad core 2 GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU.
There’s also a 4000 mAh battery on board, a 16 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front facing camera with eye scrolling technology. The device runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, a supposed OS release that will come at Google I/O 2013. Do you like this design?

Nintendo 4DS Concept May Just Save Handheld Consoles
We here at Concept Phones are big gamers and we sure love a good old
fashioned console, like the Nintendo 3DS or the PS Vita. How about the
future? While Sony and Nintendo may seem doomed because of tablets and
smartphones, concepts still show some potential.
David Quijada imagined a Nintendo 4DS concept,
that’s shown in the picture above. What we get is the usual dual display
setup, only this time with a huge widescreen display up top and a
smaller one at the bottom, flanked by controls. The device is much
longer than usual and also a bit fancier, if you ask me.
The buttons are also bigger, there’s an SD card slot on the side and possibly a HDMI port in there somewhere. The device should at least support HD resolution on the big screen and maybe QHD on the smaller one. Considering the popularity of MediaTek CPUs, I’d integrated one here, accompanied by 1.5 GB of SDRAM, 16 GB of storage, Bluetooth and WiFi. Sounds nifty, right?

Windows Phone Surface N Has a Transparent 4K Display (Video)
Created by KuanGaa Cheen, the Windows Phone surface N handset has a
set of crazy specs, that include a transparent display with 4K
resolution. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a holographic
projector on board, as shown in the video below.
We’re dealing here with an ultraslim Surface phone with a Lumia style format, but much thinner and with an edge to edge display. The Windows buttons have been relegated close to the lower edge of the device and this handset comes with a 0.45 mm thick Gorilla Glass layer. There’s 99.999% transmittance supported by the screen and software modifications are also present.
We’ve got an evolved notification system called the information center, that includes a multimedia controller, fast switcher and sharing methods. There’s also a new app menu, folders and a Lytro field camera with 4K video recording. You can focus after you take the photo and finally we’ve got the Air holographic screen, real world maps and a real 3D display. The Windows Phone Surface N is able to change theme and color of its real edges according to the exterior colors. Crazy, right?
