Deviantart member LorenzoItaly imagined a new HTC tablet and just like Nokia slate renders that are based on the Lumias/N9, this model is based on the HTC One X. The device is dubbed HTC One Tablet, it adopts the HTC Sense interface and the discrete upper grille at the top area, like on the One X.
We’ve also got a front camera and 3 capacitive buttons below the display, so basically this is an enlarged HTC One smartphone expanded to its max width. I certainly hope this model kept the soft touch back of the One X, that was very nice to handle and had good grip. The discrete camera integration would also be welcome here, with that metallic ring and “circle inside a circle” approach. And now let’s imagine some hardware specs for this baby!
I say it has a quad core Snadpragon S4 CPU, 32 GB of storage, HTC Sense 5.0 and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. LTE should also be present, as well as a 10.1 inch 1200p display and 2 GB of RAM. The camera at the back should be a 5 or 8 megapixel sensor, the ImageSense ones from the One S and One X. The stylus is optional here and HTC may make it more complex and sell it separately, for extra functions. Do you think HTC will unveil a new tablet in 2013?

Hasan Kaymak, the driving force behind HTC Concepts imagined a brand new HTC Legend model, one packing the recently leaked Nvidia Tegra 4 processor. We’re talking about the HTC Legend HD+, pictured below and looking like a real flagship. The specs are also pretty appealing, if you ask me, so keep on reading to find out more.
When looking at the back of the phone I’m instantly reminded of the iPhone 5, while the profile is a bit more original and sleek. HTC Legend HD+ uses a simple design, with both polycarbonate and a metal cover. Upfront we’ve got a 5 inch Full HD SLCD3 display with a 1920 x 1080p resolution and also at the front we find a 3 megapixel videocall camera. Moving on to the back, this is where the designer incorporated a 13 megapixel camera with ImageSense technology.
As you can see, Beats Audio is also here, as well as NFC, with a special feature that allows you to unlock your phone using NFC featured equipments made by HTC. Other feats include: eyes On, easy dial, touch slide, one screen and improved HTC Sense features. Inside the device there’s a 3250 mAh Li-Ion battery and you should also know that HTC Legend HD+ supports wireless charging.
The smartphone measures 8.8 mm in thickness, weighs 140 grams with battery and relies on the Nvidia Tegra 4 CPU, plus 32 GB of storage and 2 GB of RAM. If you loved HTC Legend, you’ll love this follow-up…

Since the iPhone 6 is already in the rumors, why not discuss the iPad 5 a bit? Japanese blog Macotakara, famous for being close to supply chain sources is saying that the iPad 5 design will borrow from the iPad Mini’s looks. Sources expect the slate to be 4 mm shorter, 2 mm thinner and 17 mm narrower, so we’ll be dealing with thinner side bezels, just like on the iPad Mini.
Reports are saying that Apple is accelerating the release cycle to respond to products like the Nexus 7 and the Surface Tablet, although the latter is not that much of a threat. The same rumors talk about an iPad Mini 2 with Retina Display, saying that device will have a 7.9 inch 2,048 x 1,536 display and an Apple A6X chip. The iPad 5 prototype shown here is a lighter iPad 4, with the same potent CPU, same screen, but different design, especially when it comes to bezels.
Rumors say that we should expect either iPad 5 or iPad Mini 2 to drop in March and I think a dual launch wouldn’t surprise anyone. We may even see a camera upgrade, especially the front one, since the back one is decent and I’m not sure Apple is ready to jump to the A7 CPU in this time frame… I’m also pretty sure that the iPad Mini 2 will have more RAM than the original Mini and if it keeps the excellent battery and maybe the price, it’s a brilliant product. Sadly, about the iPad 5 we don’t have much news, aside from the pics and prototypes.

Deviantart is a great source when it comes to finding new Samsung Galaxy S4 concept designs, like the two ones created by Deviantart user 96design and shown below. The first one is a pretty business one, if you ask me, with a nice texture at the back, an edge to edge screen and a very fancy Home button.
The camera is very nicely integrated and for some reason the back of the Galaxy S4 is more like something Motorola would do. I like the fact that this time the handset is not exaggeratedly rounded, something I disliked about the Galaxy S III. And then there’s the second design, with pretty much the same facade, but this time the TouchWiz UI clearly present and at the back everything is more minimalistic and a big bland. I prefer the back of the first model and the face of the second, if possible.
If you’ve been keeping up with leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is supposed to be a Cortex A15 handset, with 2 GB of RAM, a 5 inch Full HD screen, a 12 megapixel camera, a new TouchWiz and Android Jelly Bean 4.2 on board. Everything else is pretty much a mystery, but the whole edge to edge screen thing is not out of the question. So, which of these two designs do you prefer?

Peter Waters claims that he feels frustrated about the specs of the Nokia 808 PureView, so he took matters into his own hands and decided to create his own version of the dream cameraphone. The result is the duo shown below, Nokia Lumia 928 and 828. The latter is targeted to rival the LG Nexus 4 through a budget price, while the Lumia 928 wants to fight the Samsung Galaxy S III.
Both models feature the original PureView 41 megapixel camera and both come with large screen resolutions: 4.3 inches 720p for the smaller model and 4.8 inches 1080p for the bigger one. Nokia Lumia 828 is a budget model, at 200 quid to 400 and it packs HSPA+ connectivity, while the 300-600 quid Lumia 928 supports dual band 4G LTE. Designer Peter Waters also says that he wants Windows Phone 8 to be better and wants to change the appearance of the OS on Nokia devices.
The Nokia modified WP8 involves a personalized desktop and start menu, for a more comfortable experience. The idea here is to implement appealing skins and imagery on the platform to make it more appealing. There are new default transparent colors, reduced icon sizes and more colourful wallpapers. The empty space between icons may upset users, but it may be an interesting approach. No idea of the specs, but a quad core CPU wouldn’t hurt anyone…
