Nokia Lumia 1000 Runs Windows Phone 8 GDR 3, Has 4.8 1080p Screen
Nokia that Nokia unveiled two new Lumia models in one week, the Lumia
925 and the Lumia 928, it’s time to look into the future. Karl Panase
imagined the brand new model Nokia Lumia 1000, pictured
below and running Windows Phone 8 GDR 3.
The handset measures 8.7 mm at its thinnest and weighs 165 grams. It
features a Super AMOLED 4.8 inch screen with a Full HD resolution and
Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It also relies on PureMotion HD+
ClearBlack display technology and comes with 64 GB of storage, 2 GB of
RAM and a microSD card slot with up to 64 GB support.
The CPU inside the Nokia Lumia 1000 is a 1.9 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800, accompanied by the Adreno 330 GPU and we also get a special Nokia imaging chipset for the camera image processing. Speaking of which, at the back there’s a 41 megapixel shooter with F/1.9 aperture, Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, Xenon flash, LED flash and optical image stabilization. There are a lot of other camera features included, such as ND filter, up to 8x lossless digital zoom, variable aperture control and more.
The phone even does 4k video recording and finally, the Lumia 1000 has a 2500 mAh non removable battery. What do you think of this phone?

iWatch Renderings With Curved Glass, in Martin Hajek’s Vision
Martin Hajek imagined a new type of watch, the iWatch concept
with a big piece of curved glass at the front. The images were used in
the MacUser magazine, the April issue. As you can see, the volume
buttons on the side look the same as on the iPhone.
As you can see, the image of the watch itself and the dial is the
same with the one in iOS, the one borrowed from the Swiss Railways. We
also have a buckle here, maybe made from leather or some other fancy and
cool material. Obviously, the body of the iWatch is made out of metal,
probably anodized aluminum or some other aluminum alloy.
I’m particularly intrigued by the small holes on the side of the device, with a purpose I really can’t figure out. I’m very curious what the back of the watch feels like on the user’s hand, especially considering that the iPad and iPhone’s back feels cold most of the time. So, what do you think of this iWatch concept?

Nokia Lumia 938 is Close to a Phablet Definition, at 5.2 Inches in Diagonal
Created by Juskteez Vu, the Nokia Lumia 938 is a fresh Windows
Phone concept with a pretty big display compared to other
Lumias. This handset features a 5.2 inch PureMotion high resolution
display with a 366 ppi pixel density.
On board we’ve got the Windows Phone 8.8 operating system and other
specs include 64 GB of storage, a microSD card slot with support for 128
GB, 2 GB of RAM and at the back there’s a 17 megapixel camera with Full
HD video capture, LED flash and autofocus. Upfront we’ve got a 3
megapixel camera with a hidden lens, to keep the uniform design of the
facade.
Inside the Nokia Lumia 938 concept there’s a 2.7 GHz dual core processor and a 3000 mAh battery. We’ve also got wireless charging support and as you can see, the smartphone is rather wide and brightly colored. We’ve also got a new button layout, on top of the display. Interesting, right?

Nokia Paragon New Mockup Gets Teased by Bob Freking
Bob Freking has become a household designer name here at Concept
Phones and now we’ve got a fresh teaser for a piece of work that Bob has
been working on. It’s called Nokia Paragon and part of it is shown
below.
What’s clear from the pic is that it’s not a Lumia phone or a Windows
Phone or any kind. There’s a slight Nokia N9 and MeeGo vibe to it, but I
also fear it’s Symbian. I certainly hope that’s not the case, so
Paragon may end up being a Jolla OS Phone in the end. Also seeing how
Nokia launched that cool Nokia Asha 501 recently, with all those
smartphone features on a $99 price tag, well, it could be Asha OS,
courtesy of the Smarterfone technology.
By the way, Bob said “concept”, not phone, so it could be a phablet, or maybe a juicy bit of unexpected novelty, something like a prototype MeeGo tablet. Really hard to tell… what do you make of this Nokia teaser?

iPhone 6 Edge to Edge Concept Device and iPhone Mini Mockup Appear
Today we have two stunning iPhone concepts to show you, both coming
from the same source. I’m talking about the iPhone 6
and the iPhone Mini, pictured below and based on a true
edge to edge display design. Actually such a design is not that
different from the Sony concept I’ve shown you yesterday.
The case is also different, with an all new aluminum carbon fiber unibody enclosure. The combo between aluminum and carbon gives the iPhone 6 a 40% weight reduction from the iPhone 5 and a 60% strength increase. The device won’t shatter when it’s dropped and it will never dent. As speculated before, there will be no more Home button and iPhone 6 with iOS 8 will allow the user to rely on multi touch gesture, that will be done on the lower touch area of the handset.
You will tap to go home, hold for Siri and double tap to multitask. HomePad gestures are 100% customizable and by the way you can hold the Home icon for 2 seconds to activate Siri. The new iPhone edge to edge measures 7.6 mm in thickness and weighs a crazy 67.2 grams. Its specs include two 2.8 GHz quad core Apple A7 processor, 4 GB of 1600 MHz memory, and a 2800 mAh battery. It will come in 128 and 256 GB versions and it packs a 4.5 inch Retina Display Widescreen edge to edge with a 754 x 1296 pixel resolution.
Upfront there’s an 8 megapixel camera for Facetime and at the back we’ve got a 20.2 Mp camera with 2K video capture and F/1.8-4.9 aperture. The camera even does RAW image capture. What do you think about this device and also what do you think of the iPhone Mini?

Sony Xperia F is Basically a Big Piece of Glass
If you’re not tired of Sony Xperia concepts, you may want
to have a look at the Sony Xperia F, pictured below. Created by Martin
Grauer, this device is based on a big glass slab with two metal/plastic
parts that serve as bezels and components holders.
I suspect that the handset is actually a normal one and not a transparent unit, although transparency would be cool as well. Anyway, the Xperia F is incredibly slim, probably at around 5 or 6 mm in thickness, it has a big glassy slab in the middle or maybe it’s made to look that way by covering up the edges with glass and also the front.
I can’t see any side volume buttons, so I guess it’s all touch, while the On/Off button has been kept a metallic one and integrated into the upper side. This model truly sticks to the idea of edge to edge screen and doesn’t give us a side bezel to hold the handset. I can also spot a front camera and that’s pretty much it. What do you make of this interesting Sony Xperia futuristic design?

LG Optimus G2 Gets Evleaked!
We don’t only cover concept phones here, but also some leaks,
especially since some of them show spectacular designs. After all, we’re
all about innovative looking handsets, right? LG Optimus G2 might just
open up a new chapter in phone industrial design, as you can see through
the image below.
It was published by famous Twitter account @evleaks and shows us what we can call the first true big brand edge to edge display smartphone. The device’s specs were already leaked by a Korean publication and it appears that this model packs a 5 inch Full HD LCD panel, a 2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor, Android 4.3, a 13 megapixel camera (or better) and at least 32 GB of storage.
2 or 3 GB of RAM are predicted here and the design seems to involve an edge to edge display, that basically covers the facade totally. Some people have said that this design reminds them of a Nexus phone. So, what do you make of this? LG Optimus G2 or LG Nexus 5?

This is What iOS 7 Could Look Like (Video)
iOS 7 is about a month away from being unveiled at WWDC 2013 and till
then I guess we have a few more concepts of the OS to check out. As you
know probably, the team behind the software is now lead by Sir Jonathan
Ive, leaving behind the work of Scott Forstall. This means a new
approach to a new iOS…
Till that comes we get this iOS 7 concept, based on simplicity and a new set of icons. Simply Zesty created this project, or better said their Art Director, Philip Joyce did, who also came up with the video below to showcase the new UI. The lockscreen in iOS 7 keeps the slide to unlock mechanism, but now it takes up less screen estate and it’s placed at the top of the screen, in order to give options like Siri, camera and maps more room on the screen.
The colors of the overall UI are now more vivid and each and every icon has had a revamp. The iPod app UI reminds me of Soundcloud, plus this iOS 7.0 concept also features a widget Centre, that allows the user to customize the homescreen with widgets that seem cooler than those on Android. Siri also gets smarter and it’s more deeply integrated. What do you think of this concept iOS?
